Consignment Terms

These terms govern the relationship between AATEEQ ("we", "us") and any individual or entity consigning a piece for auction or sale through AATEEQ ("you", "the consignor").

1. Submission & Authentication

You may submit a piece for consideration via WhatsApp or our submission form.
We will assess authenticity, age, condition, and market suitability. We may decline any piece at our discretion.
Acceptance is confirmed in writing (including WhatsApp or email) before any item is listed.

2. Commission

Upon a successful sale, AATEEQ retains a commission of 15% of the final sale price. You receive the remaining balance. There are no upfront listing fees.

3. Custody, Handling & Insurance

Accepted items are delivered to AATEEQ (by shipment or local pickup) for photography and listing. Delivery arrangements and any related costs are agreed with you once your submission is accepted.
While in our custody, items are handled with professional care during photography, storage, and listing.

4. Listing & Auction Parameters

AATEEQ determines the listing presentation, starting price, reserve price, buyout price, auction duration, and bidding rules, in consultation with you where practical. Our experience guides these decisions to maximise your outcome.

5. Payment to Consignor

You are paid after the buyer has completed full payment and any return or inspection window has passed.
Payment is made by bank transfer once funds have cleared. Timing is confirmed with you when your consignment is arranged.

6. Unsold Items

If a piece does not sell, we will discuss relisting or return with you. Arrangements for returning an unsold item, including timing and any return delivery costs, are agreed with you directly.

7. Ownership & Warranties

By consigning, you confirm that you are the legal owner of the piece (or are authorised to sell it), that it is free of any liens or claims, and that all information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

8. Liability

AATEEQ handles consigned items with professional care. Our liability in relation to a consigned item is limited to the terms agreed for that specific consignment. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
