1. Overview

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AATEEQ website and related services (the “Services”). By accessing our website, communicating with us, or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Return & Refund Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Services.

2. Nature of Products

AATEEQ offers original antiques and historical objects. Due to the age, rarity, and uniqueness of these items, all products are sold as collectibles and not as new goods. Natural signs of age, patina, wear, and historical irregularities are inherent characteristics of antiques and do not constitute defects. Historical descriptions, dating, and attributions are provided in good faith based on expert assessment and available reference material. Minor variations or scholarly debate regarding age, origin, or attribution do not invalidate authenticity.

3. Orders, Pricing, and Payment

By placing an order, you agree to pay the listed price, applicable taxes, shipping, and handling charges, and to provide accurate and complete payment and contact information. AATEEQ reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at its discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, suspected fraud, availability issues, or order quantity limitations. If an order is cancelled after payment has been processed, a full refund will be issued.

4. Inspection Window, Returns, and Refunds

All purchases are subject to a 10-day inspection window from the date of delivery. During this period, a return may be considered only if the item is materially not as described at the time of sale or if it was damaged during transit. Claims must be submitted within ten (10) days of delivery and are subject to inspection and approval. Buyer’s remorse, change of mind, subjective preference, or normal age-related characteristics are not grounds for return. Full details are set out in our Return & Refund Policy.

5. Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee

AATEEQ provides a lifetime authenticity guarantee on all items sold. If, at any time after purchase, a customer provides credible, independent expert evidence demonstrating that an item is not authentic as described at the time of sale, the customer may submit a claim for review. If the claim is validated, AATEEQ will issue a full refund of the original purchase price, subject to the return of the item in its current condition.

This guarantee applies only if the item has not been altered, restored, or modified after purchase and if the authenticity challenge is supported by written documentation from a recognized expert, institution, or authority in the relevant field. Differences in academic opinion, market reassessment, or alternative scholarly interpretations do not automatically invalidate authenticity. This guarantee applies solely to authenticity and does not extend to condition, restoration history, or changes in market value.

6. Use of the Website

You agree not to use the website for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose, attempt to interfere with the security or functionality of the Services, or reproduce, copy, or exploit any part of the website or its content without written permission. All content on the website, including text, images, branding, and design elements, is the property of AATEEQ unless otherwise stated.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AATEEQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Services or the purchase of any item. AATEEQ’s total liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the item in dispute. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
